FAO Director visits NARC

AMMAN — Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Qu Dongyu on Wednesday visited the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) to learn about the activities and FAO projects implemented at the centre. Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat, during the visit, praised the role of FAO in supporting the agricultural sector, transferring modern technologies and empowering Jordanian farmers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Director General of NARC Nizar Haddad said that FAO helps develop scientific research and transfer technology through entrepreneurial projects that are implemented at the centre. The director general said that NARC receives the interest of FAO through its various successes in developing scientific research.
