Exports rise by 4.6 per cent compared to same period in 2017

AMMAN — Jordan recorded a 3.9 per cent trade deficit between exports and imports during the first seven months of the current year, worth JD5 million, compared with the same period last year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.
Total exports for the current year reached JD3.1 billion, marking a 4.6 per cent increase compared with the same period of 2017.
National exports during the first seven months of the year reached JD2.5 billion, a 4 per cent increase while imports reached JD8.28 billion, a 0.9 per cent decrease compared to the same period in 2017.
