AMMAN — Egypt’s decision to offer Jordanian exporters temporary registration in the record of exporters allowed to bring their goods into the North African country is part of the Ministry of Industry’s efforts to ensure the flow of goods into Egypt, the ministry’s spokesperson, Yanal Barmawi, said in a statement released Wednesday.
Barmawi said Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali had held bilateral meetings with her Egyptian counterpart to discuss exports, with both stressing the importance of facilitating procedures to export Jordanian goods to Egypt to increase economic cooperation and the volume of two-way trade.
The temporary registration will continue until the official documents issued by the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organisation are completely adopted by the Egyptian authorities.
