EDCO announces preparedness plan for winter 2018-2019

AMMAN — The Electricity Distribution Company (EDCO) announced on Sunday its emergency and preparedness plan for the winter season 2018-2019, in order to maintain the supply of electricity to subscribers.

EDCO stressed in a statement, carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, its commitment to the implementation of plans and programmes that ensure the continuity of providing electricity through the maintenance and periodic updating of networks and stations, in addition to creating networks and stations to keep pace with population growth.

EDCO General Manager Hassan Thunaibat said that the safety of citizens and employees was EDCO’s highest priority.

He stressed that EDCO is constantly reforming vital facilities within its concession areas, such as hospitals, water pumping stations and service departments, to restore electricity to the largest number of subscribers in a timely manner when needed.
