Doctor sentenced to six months for death of patient

AMMAN — The judicial authority at the Amman Magistrate’s Court has convicted a doctor of causing the death of a patient and sentenced him to six months in prison.
The court issued its verdict in person and the verdict will be appealable at the specialised court, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The court said that the doctor had conducted surgery on the victim and that despite the proper procedures of the surgery, the doctor failed to adhere to the standard of care, caused a hole in the skull of the patient, according to Petra.
