Deputy army chief receives chief of US Central Command

AMMAN — Deputy Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Brig. Gen. Abdullah Shdeifat, on Monday, received the Chief of Staff of US Central Command, Lt. Gen. Patrick Frank, and an accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination in various military, operational, training and logistical arenas in service of both armed forces’ interests, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The two officials were briefed on upcoming areas of military cooperation to keep pace with the nature of the region's developments. These meetings come within the framework of JAF's efforts to raise combat efficiency by cooperating with friendly forces and increasing joint exercises.
