Daoud meets with Japanese envoy

AMMAN — Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Sami Daoud on Tuesday received Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Hidenao Yanagi at his office and discussed bilateral relations, stressing the historical ties between the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister expressed the Kingdom’s appreciation for Japan for extending financial and technical support. Daoud also discussed the Syrian refugee crisis with the envoy, highlighting Tokyo’s aid for host communities.
For his part, the ambassador reaffirmed his country’s keenness to enhance ties and boost support for the Kingdom in view of the regional challenges.
