Culture Ministry, Zaha Centre sign agreement to develop children’s skills

AMMAN — HRH Princess Alia Tabbaa, chairperson of the Zaha Cultural Centre’s supervisory board, on Tuesday attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Culture and the  Zaha Centre, which is affiliated with the Greater Amman Municipality.

The memo, signed by Minister of Culture Haifa Najjar and Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh, aims to develop children's skills and equip them with innovative thinking, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The new partnership also would facilitate Zaha centre’s participation in the celebrations of launching Irbid as the Arab Capital of Culture for 2022.

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, Princess Alia honoured the Phiteam for winning first place in the international robot competition. Phiteam, among 120 teams, was the sole Arab team that has been awarded in the competition, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
