AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Sunday chaired the second meeting of the Investment Council, newly established under the Investment Law.
The members discussed draft by-laws concerned with investments, especially the draft investment window by-law.
Ensour said it will ease procedures for investors to receive permits and accreditation.
Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) President Montaser Oqlah said the window will offer two services: one for investors who are already in Jordan and the second for new investors.
During the meeting, the council decided to refer the draft investment window by-law, along with several other draft regulations, to the Legalisation and Opinion Bureau, and to expand the development area in Salt and establish a new one in Jerash.
