CID arrests two in separate attacks on doctors

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested a person who allegedly assaulted a doctor and stole JD8,000 with the help of an accomplice, all within 24 hours, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.

A security source said that the CID received a tip-off on Wednesday about two persons entering a clinic, assaulting a doctor with a sharp tool and escaping with JD8,000 in cash. The attacked doctor was transferred to hospital, while CID agents proceeded to the investigation.

They identified one of the suspects and arrested him following the raid of a house where they retrieved part of the money. In a different case, CID personnel on Thursday arrested an individual who had robbed another doctor.
