AMMAN — The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) on Tuesday warned the public against dealing with companies that allegedly facilitate the procurement of loans in return for non-refundable charges.
The CBJ said licensed banks are prohibited from dealing with such companies because they are not licensed to provide these services, and they are not subject to the CBJ’s monitoring.
These companies delude the public to collect money, the CBJ said, noting that the safe way to obtain a loan is by directly contacting banks.
