Cassation Court president, justice minister discuss cooperation

AMMAN — President of the Court of Cassation Mohammad Ghazo on Sunday received Justice Minister Awad Mashagbeh, who congratulated him over his new position. Both sides discussed ways to increase cooperation and sustain coordination between the two institutions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Mashagbeh stressed the government's commitment to Royal directives related to the independence of the legislative, executive and judicial branches. For his part, Ghazo, who is also president of the judicial council, praised the continuous support of His Majesty King Abdullah for the judiciary, stressing that the judiciary constitutes a central pillar of comprehensive reform at the political, economic and social levels.
