Canadian ambassador visits Electronic Health Solutions

AMMAN — A delegation from the Canadian embassy, headed by Canadian Ambassador Tariq Ali Khan, visited Electronic Health Solutions (EHS) where he was briefed on Jordan’s experience in the field of digital transformation of the health sector through the national programme “Hakeem”.

The CEO of EHS, Omar I. Ayesh, welcomed the delegation along with a number of executives. Ayesh highlighted the company’s role, goals and programmes, outlining its most prominent achievements in raising the quality of Jordan’s healthcare services, according to a statement from EHS.

Ayesh spoke about the advanced technology the company uses to improve health information management, facilitate access to medical records and improve diagnosis and treatment. He pointed to the importance of utilising the free-trade agreement between Canada and Jordan to create partnerships with leading Canadian companies in the health sector.

He expressed gratitude to Canada for investing in Jordan’s health sector infrastructure as well as increasing access to public healthcare facilities for refugees and vulnerable Jordanians via the Health Fund for Refugees (HFR).

At the end of the meeting, the Canadian ambassador and members of the delegation expressed their admiration for the technology and solutions provided by EHS, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two sides through exchanging expertise and technology.

The ambassador expressed hope for further cooperation in the health sector between the two countries, in line with His Majesty King Abdullah’s Economic Modernisation Vision.
