Bank deposits reach JD42.9b by end of October — ABJ

AMMAN — Total deposits in the Jordanian banking sector increased by 6.1 per cent compared with figures from 2021, to reach JD42.9 billion by the end of October, according to the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) figures.
The volume of credit granted by banks operating in Jordan increased by 7.6 per cent to total JD32.3 billion, with 90.9 per cent of loans granted to the private sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The volume of assets in the Jordanian banking sector increased by JD2.25 billion by the end of October to reach JD63.3 billion.
