Bank account opened for donations to fallen officers fund

AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh on Saturday announced opening a bank account at the Central Bank of Jordan for the fund to support the families of those who died in the line of duty from the army and security agencies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, in January directed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat to establish the fund to enhance the current support provided to the families of fallen officers. A total of JD5 million from the Royal Court budget will be donated to finance the fund. The account number is (711-3100-1) and the IBAN number is (JO12 CBJO 0010 0000 0000 0131 0007 11).
