Australian embassy hosts fundraiser for Syria

AMMAN — The Australian embassy in Amman on Tuesday hosted a fundraising event in support of CARE International in Jordan.
The event, attended by Australian Ambassador Heidi Venamore, focused on assisting Syrian refugees, an embassy statement said.
Venamore presented the charity with a cheque from the proceeds of the fundraiser, amounting to over JD27,000.
