Rawabdeh, Australian ambassador discuss parliamentary cooperation

AMMAN — Senate President Abdur-Ra’uf S. Rawabdeh on Tuesday met with Australian Ambassador to Jordan Heidi Venamore to discuss parliamentary cooperation.
Rawabdeh reviewed the development of the legislature and the democratic reform process in the Kingdom, stressing that the country is heading steadily towards parliamentary governments formed by the partisan majority.
Venamore voiced her country’s appreciation for Jordan’s role in the region, especially its efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East.
