Attempt to smuggle 150,000 narcotic pills foiled

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have foiled an attempt to smuggle 150,000 narcotic pills that were hidden in a truck heading abroad and arrested the suspects, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said on Saturday.
AND agents received a tip-off that three people hid a large amount of drugs inside a truck to smuggle out of the Kingdom, he noted as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Initial investigations led identifying the three suspects and the location of the vehicle in eastern Amman.
