Attempt to sell fake currency foiled — PSD

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel on Saturday foiled an attempt to sell fake currency and arrested two suspects, according to the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson.
CID agents had received a tip-off about two suspects with criminal records to sell counterfeit currency for some $500,000, the spokesperson said as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Security agents identified the location of the suspects, arrested them and seized the counterfeit money in their possession, he said, noting that an investigation is under way.
