Army mobilises first military Christian pilgrimage convoy to Palestine

AMMAN — The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Monday dispatched the first Christian military pilgrimage convoy of retired personnel to Palestine, an official army statement said.
The delegation, presided over by Elias Samardali, includes 17 retired military personnel and their families, going on a 3-day pilgrimage to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth.
Samardali voiced appreciation for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat’s gesture of kindness and humanity, which builds towards interfaith harmony, as called for by the Supreme Commander, His Majesty King Abdullah.
