Army chief receives Qatari ambassador, Chinese defence attaché

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Wednesday received Qatari Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani and his accompanying delegation at the Armed Forces General Command. They discussed cooperation and ways to enhance relations between the two countries.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Huneiti, following a Royal Decree, awarded the Second Class Order of Merit to the former Qatari military attaché, Brig. Gen. Shafi Mohammad Al Shafi in appreciation of his efforts and dedication in serving the relations between the two countries’ armies.
Also on Wednesday, Huneiti received the Chinese defence attaché, Brig. Gen. Yang Nan and his accompanying delegation. They discussed cooperation, joint military coordination and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the best interest of both countries’ armed forces.
