Army chief attends ‘Dens of Lions’ military drill

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Thursday attended the final stage of the tactical drill “Den of Lions”, which was carried out by the Northern Military Zone with the participation of the Mechanised Royal Guard Brigade 1 affiliated with the Central Military Zone.
Huneiti was briefed on the drill and its operational and logistical aspects, in addition to its procedures prepared in a way that simulate challenges that may occur during strategic operations in the future, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The JAF chairman met with participants of the three-week training and conveyed them the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, commending their high levels of efficiency and professionalism.
