Army-affiliated NCTE signs agreement to offer training for youth, employment in agricultural sector

AMMAN — The army-affiliated National Company for Training and Employment (NCTE), the ministries of Agriculture Ministry and Labour, the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) and the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC) on Thursday signed an agreement for the training and employment of youth.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Labour Minister Yousef Shamali and Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat attended the signing ceremony held at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hneifat said that the agreement stipulates the training of 3,700 unemployed people, 500 agricultural engineers and 100 livestock veterinariansfor three months.
He noted that the ministry will provide a training wage of JD200 for vocational employees and JD300 for engineers and veterinarians. Shamali said that the agreement aims to enhance partnership among stakeholders to improve the living conditions of citizens and provide training and employment for Jordanian youth.
