‘Arab union for cement to open regional office in Amman’

AMMAN — Jordan on Wednesday signed an agreement with the Arab Union for Cement and Building Materials, under which the union will open a regional office in the Kingdom.
The deal, signed on behalf of Jordan by acting secretary general of the Foreign Ministry Nayef Zidan, is aimed at enabling the union to develop and boost industrial activity among its members, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The union is an inter-Arab international organisation, affiliated to the General Secretariat of the Arab League and the Council of Arab Economic Unity, according to its website.
