Agreement signed to support green industrial growth in Aqaba

AMMAN — Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) President Nayef Bakhit and Green Action in Enterprises (GAIN) Project Manager Elisaveta Kostova on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement aims at providing technical support and preparing an action plan for green industrial growth in Aqaba in cooperation with DT Global and BDO Jordan as part of GAIN, which is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Bakhit said that this agreement is part of ASEZA's efforts in identifying and enhancing abilities of moving towards green economy. Kostova praised the partnership with ASEZA that accords with visions of the Economic Modernisation Vision that the project seeks to support through the strategic partner the Environment Ministry and in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply.
