Signing the agreement is part of the ABJ's keenness to enhance and promote the concept of green finance and increase awareness of it among banks in the Kingdom, and as part of the of the Central Bank of Jordan’s policy that seeks to launch a strategy for green finance and administer environmental risks in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The agreement, signed by ABJ President Maher Mahrouq and GAIN Project Manager Elisaveta Kostova, seeks to build the capacity of banks' employees through specialised workshops, training symposiums and programmes.
