‘5,735 illegal workers deported in 2015’

AMMAN — Labour Ministry inspection teams conducted 94,136 field visits in 2015, detaining 28,341 illegal workers, fining 13,908 institutions and warning 14,497 others, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.
The ministry also deported 5,735 illegal workers and closed 1,635 institutions violating the law, Petra quoted Abdullah Jbour, director of the ministry’s inspection directorate, as saying.
