AMMAN — A total of 467 vehicles were impounded and 831 people arrested during the past 24 hours for violating the curfew imposed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Public Security Directorate’s (PSD) spokesperson said on Thursday.
Stressing that movement is restricted to buying food and supplies, the source added that seized vehicles will be transferred to the designated holding yards in Swaqa and Muwaqqar and the vehicles’ owners will incur all due costs upon retrieving them after one month.
The spokesperson said that all PSD personnel are working round-the-clock to control violations against the orders issued under the Defence Law, stressing that the orders are being implemented “without compromise or discrimination”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
