400 tickets issued since beginning of Ramadan — Trade Ministry

AMMAN — More than 1,000 tickets were issued by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply in the period between March 10 until Tuesday, April 12, out of which 400 were made since the beginning of Ramadan.
Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali said that more than 27,000 visits were made, besides more than 1,500 inspection tours across the Kingdom. The violations included price display and over-ceiling prices, among others, the minister said according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Under Article 13 of the Industry and Trade Act, anyone who sells a commodity above the specified price shall face a fine of up to JD3,000, or no less than two months and no more than six months imprisonment or both penalties, the minister said.
