AMMAN — The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply has issued 1,113 tickets for food violations across the Kingdom during the first 20 days of Ramadan, ministry spokesperson Yanal Barmawi said Wednesday.

He added that 945 fines were issued because food items did not have price tags, 100 were for selling items at rates higher than the official price, and 68 for unlicensed discounts.

Amman registered the higher number of violations with 377, followed by Zarqa (142) and Balqa (120), while Aqaba had the lowest number at 12, Barmawi said.
