3.3-magnitude earthquake recorded in Jordan Valley

AMMAN — The Jordanian Seismological Observatory (JSO) on Wednesday recorded a 3.3-magnitude earthquake in the Jordan Valley, south of Lake Tiberias. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources-affiliated JSO said that the earthquake was recorded at 11:20am at a depth of 12 kilometres, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The observatory also noted that residents near the epicentre may have felt the effects of the earthquake.
