3 planes diverted to King Hussein International Airport due to fog

AMMAN — The King Hussein International Airport (KHIA) in Aqaba on Sunday received three airplanes that were diverted from Queen Alia International Airport in Amman due to fog and poor visibility.
Head of public relations at KHIA Omar Smadi said that the airport had been accredited for use in emergencies, noting that the airport is ready to receive all sizes of airplanes according to the best international standards, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Smadi also noted that the airport has recently undergone maintenance works in various facilities and its runways.
