25 int’l groups to monitor parliamentary elections — IEC

AMMAN — The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Monday announced the arrival of 25 monitoring groups to observe the 2020 general elections held on Tuesday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
IEC Chairman Khaled Kalaldeh highlighted the important role the international monitors had in securing the success of previous elections, adding that the commission values and works by their recommendations.
During a meeting with representatives from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab Parliament, Kalaldeh also demonstrated the commission’s preparations, noting that the 2020 election cycle coincided with “unprecedented conditions”.
