2 suspects detained in corruption cases

AMMAN — The attorney general of the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) has decided to detain two suspects for 15 days, pending investigation, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The first suspect, the CEO of a public shareholding company, is charged with misuse of position and legal, financial and administrative violations causing up to JD107 million in damages to the company and shareholders, the JIACC said. The second suspect is accused of counterfeiting 10 promissory notes to steal JD1.5 million from the bank account of a dead client.
