2 CDD officers killed in accident laid to rest

AMMAN — First Lt. Mohammad Obeidat and Warrant Officer Mohammad Sbeihi of the Civil Defence Department (CDD) were laid to rest on Monday in their hometowns of Yabla and Mzeirib in Irbid.
Obeidat and Sbeihi died on Sunday night when a CDD water tanker overturned while on the way to extinguish a grass fire near Aqraba in Irbid, according to a CDD statement.
Interior Minister Ghaleb Zu'bi, accompanied by CDD Director Maj. Gen. Mustafa Bazaiah, visited the condolence houses and praised the fallen officers' efforts in preserving lives and property.
