1.520mcm of water channelled into Kingdom’s major dams after recent rainfall

AMMAN — The recent rainfall channelled over 1.520 million cubic metres (mcm) of water into the Kingdom’s major dams, Minister of Water and Irrigation Motasem Saidan said on Saturday.
Jordan’s major dams now hold 30.58 per cent of their total storage capacity, compared with 25.3 per cent during the same period last year, Saidan said in a ministry statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The minister noted that the King Talal Dam amounted to the biggest share of rainwater, receiving 744,000mcm.
