14-truck Jordan aid convoy reaches Syria

AMMAN — In implementation of Royal directives to assist those affected by earthquakes in both Syria and Turkey, the Foreign Ministry announced that a Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation aid convoy, consisting of 14 trucks, has reached Syria, carrying medicine, food items, blankets and clean drinking water.

Through the Jordanian-Syrian border centre (Jaber-Naseeb), seven trucks were dispatched to the High Relief Commission in Syria, while seven others were dispatched to UN agencies operating in Syria, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sinan Majali affirmed that the Kingdom continues to provide aid and assistance to Syria and Turkey to help them face the repercussions of the earthquakes.
