AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) announced on Thursday that 136 Jordanian trucks carrying humanitarian aid crossed into Gaza. 

JHCO also said that the aid includes flour, food parcels, blankets, mattresses, tents, clothing, medical supplies, hygiene kits, and canned meat, which will be distributed to the people of Gaza through partner organisations and associations in the region.

The aid was organised by the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army (JAF), and the JHCO, according to a statement by JHCO.  

Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the JHCO, emphasised the organisation's unwavering commitment to implementing Royal directives to provide comprehensive support to the people of Gaza. 

He also said that JHCO is utilising its full capacity and dedicated staff to ensure the continuous delivery of aid convoys. He also highlighted the cooperation with government entities, civil society institutions, and individuals in collecting donations, coordinating efforts, and organising the dispatch of aid.

Shibli also noted that all activities are carried out in coordination with partner organisations operating within Gaza, focusing on the identified needs and priorities to ensure the efficient distribution of aid.

He also reported that a total of 3,033 trucks have crossed into Gaza via land routes so far, along with 53 planes delivering aid through Al-Arish, adding that these efforts have been made in partnership with the World Food Programme and supported by various organisations and campaigns.

The JHCO continues to accept cash donations through its bank account at the Union Bank, account number JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06, or through electronic wallets, or via Klik JHCOGAZA, as well as through the "eFAWATEERcom" service, and through its website.
