AMMAN — One hundred trucks carrying humanitarian aid have entered Gaza over the past week, providing essential supplies, including food parcels, blankets, tents, flour, mattresses and clothes.
This operation was organised by the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), and supported by various organisations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shibli stressed on Thursday the urgent need for increased efforts and resources to ensure that aid reaches those in need in the war-torn Strip.
To date, a total of 2,735 trucks and 53 aircraft carrying aid have entered Gaza through Al Arish airport, according to JHCO.
The JHCO continues to receive cash donations through its bank account
