AMMAN — Around 12,700 students have applied to public universities through the Unified Admission Committee (UAC), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
The deadline for online applications to undergraduate programmes in public universities was Wednesday midnight, except for 95 students who were contacted to correct their applications.
UAC acting director Khawlah Awad said the number of applicants has dropped for this session, as some students had applied for the parallel programme directly. The Higher Education Council had decided the number of available seats is 14, 015.
