AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Sunday called the UAE’s Chairwoman of the Federal National Council (FNC) Amal Qaisi to inquire why MP Huda Etoum was prevented from staying in the UAE overnight during a return visit from Japan.
Tarawneh said that he had received “strange” news Etoum was banned from staying overnight in the UAE, stressing the close relations between the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Qaisi commended the level of Jordanian-Emirati relations, stressing that the situation was only an individual “technical error”. She added that the relations between the Lower House and the FNC are based on a mutual respect.
