‘Eager Lion’ military drill to kick off in late August

AMMAN — The 2019 “Eager Lion” military training drill will kick off on August 25 and run through September 5, with participants from 28 countries expected to attend, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The training aims at enhancing cooperation among the armed forces of participating countries and improving their defensive capabilities, in addition to improving national capabilities in crises management to face unusual threats.
Eager Lion is an annual joint exercise that has been held in the Kingdom since 2011.

The Jordan-hosted “Eager Lion” international military drill kicked off on Sunday with the participation of 22 countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
