Qarashai Tennis Tournament kicks off Friday

AMMAN — A total of 60 professional and amateur tennis players will take part in the 2nd Jordan Qarashai Tennis Tournament which will be held at Al Orthodoxi Club tennis courts on May 9. The tournament which is the brainchild of Jordanian tennis player Nanci Qarashai creates an opportunity for more interaction among players representing various clubs, diplomatic missions and amateurs. Last year, Iraq’s Hassan Sa’di won the first place and Jordan’s Nabil Morqos settled in the second place.

Hujair and Tamimi beat Omar Farahid and Osama Saleh in the doubles final 9-3 and won the championship which is held for the second time with the aim of giving a real opportunity for amateurs to rub shoulders with professional players.
