DUBAI — Former world No.1 Andy Murray said on Wednesday he is “likely not going to play competitive tennis past this summer”.

The British three-time Grand Slam champion, 36, has won just two of his eight matches this season and appears ready to put an end to his storied career.

Murray won the US Open in 2012 and Wimbledon in 2013 and 2016 as well as two Olympic gold medals. He also reached the final of the Australian Open five times and the French Open once.
