Martial Arts Kickboxers through to world semis

AMMAN — Kickboxers Oday Abu Hassweh and Ali Khalaf have reached the semifinals of the World Kickboxing Championships taking place in Budapest, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee News Service.
Abu Hassweh qualified to the last four of the 63kg weight after beating Murad Azerbeve of Belarus, 2-1. Earlier he beat Canada’s Brandon Leman, 3-0, and is set to face Russia’s Erliiar Afonen on Friday.
Teammate Ali Khalaf secured his semifinal place after beating Bulgaria’s Koshkov Tsfozar, 3-0, in quarter-final of the -75kg category.
He will now meet the UK’s Deon Barite in Friday’s semifinal.
