Khawaldeh set for Olympic marathon race

AMMAN — A Jordanian marathon runner Moath Al Khawaldeh has been selected to represent Jordan in the marathon events at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Khawaldeh represented Jordan at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest in 2023, finishing on the 52nd place with time of 2:22:33. In preparation for Paris 2024, Khawaldeh completed the Berlin Marathon, the Houston Half Marathon, the Seville Half Marathon, the Azkoitia-Azpeitia International Half Marathon in Spain, the Berlin Half Marathon and the Jersey City Half Marathon where in April he clinched the third place with 1:07:02.43. The Olympic Games in Paris will officially open next Friday.
