Jordan swimmer Amro Al Wir gets late Youth Olympic call

AMMAN — Jordan’s record delegation for the Youth Olympic Games, which got under way in Buenos Aires on Saturday, just got bigger, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee News Service.
Swimmer Amro Al Wir received an 11th hour notification from FINA, the sport’s governing body, that he will be competing in breaststroke events in South America later this week.
He becomes the 13th athlete to join Team Jordan, which already includes freestyle swimmer Mohammed Bedour.
