Jordan gets bronze medal at Arab Billiards and Snooker Championships

AMMAN — Zeid Thweib has won a bronze medal for Jordan at the Arab Billiards and Snooker Championships taking place in Beirut, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee News Service. Thweib reached the 8ball semifinals where he lost to Kuwait’s Mazin Barjawi, 7-3. Earlier he beat Palestine’s Murad Abu Hantash, Egypt’s Ehab Gargas, Iraq’s Hassan Al Huiri and Qatar’s Bashar Hussein. Meanwhile, Thweib, Ahmad Al Jallad and Ahmad Al Okaili are through to the final of the 8ball team competition after beating Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. They will face Kuwait in the final. Mashhour Abu Tayyeh will win at least a bronze after reaching the last four of the French Billiards.
