AMMAN — The long winter break is over with Jordan Motorsport on Friday launching another action-packed year of events this Friday at the spectacular panorama location overlooking the Dead Sea, according to the Jordan Motorsport Media Service.
The 2020 season will get under way with the opening round of the Jordan 4x4 Championship, sponsored by BF Goodrich, which will be held at the new venue which has been tailor made for this event.
An impressive 40 teams have confirmed with drivers coming from Lebanon and Palestine to take on some of the best Jordanian off road experts. With reigning champion Khaled Quraan not participating, the door has been opened for a new name to make an impression by throwing down an early marker in the 2020 title chase.
The action will get under way at 8am with each car having the opportunity to navigate the tricky course, before, time permitting, the top 15 compete for a second time around for the honours. Entry is free for spectators to watch.
This is the first of three rounds for the championship, with Jordan Motorsport organising an impressive number of events throughout the year for karting, rallying, speed tests, hill climb and drifting, not to mention the third round of the FIA World Cup for Cross County Bajas in April.
