AMMAN — Subscribers in Zarqa owe the Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) some JD15 million in unpaid dues, assistant CEO of Miyahuna in Zarqa Jiryes Dababneh said on Sunday.
He told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the company disconnects 25 water metres daily for subscribers who are late paying their bills. Dababneh said Miyahuna is working on a project to install water networks and improve water provision in the governorate’s Ghweirieh neighbourhood at a cost of JD3.7 million, but the project is delayed over a dispute with the Zarqa Municipality over paving streets after the project finishes.
